Insensitive

The earth moved yesterday and I didn't feel a thing.

It's not that I'm insensitive, far from it. I'm a veritable watering pot. Or perhaps a sieve would be a more apt term (I've always like the word "sieve," perhaps because of the old Monty Python saw, "mind like a sieve"). Truth be told, I could do with quite a bit less sensitivity in the emotions department.

I know what those little rattles feel like. My mother's Rosenthal dishes, on fine display in the dinette, would infrequently chatter when the earth shimmied beneath our feet. But yesterday. Nothing.

Which is most likely a good thing. I must confess that I'm woefully unprepared for a rattle, let alone "the big one." While Rebecca would spring into action, I would most likely run out into the street, hop into my car and drive up to Twin Peaks to admire the view...

Or lack thereof.
TiVo got into the spirit of things and recorded Them! this weekend. Quite fitting considering the great ant slaughter of last week. I've sprayed so much Raid Ant & Roach killer around the premises that I would, no doubt, give birth to a two-headed calf if I were to become pregnant any time soon.

Early drafts of surprise endings.

Yesterday? Camera bug.
