Remain calm II
Some times some things just seem to strike a chord.
- This is what it's all about, baby! Yes, it's the Fight Club Flight Card. I'd pretty much forgotten about this gem, as I was adrift in a sea of Vicodan at the time.
No rosy cheeked damsels, but the shoving, kicking and pushing that come to mind when one thinks of how people would really behave should the end draw nigh.
- Airtoons [smacks head] Airtoons Airtoons Airtoons!
- "It was fun. I actually felt for a while that I was going to crash and die. It wasn't a bad feeling. It was nothing like a roller coaster, it wasn't physical, it was all mental. It was a nutty thing to feel. I tried not to be dramatic or goofy, but I thought I should take time to think about it. If I did die, it wouldn't matter if I thought about it, but if I lived, I wouldn't want to miss the chance to think about dying." - Plane Crash Penn 6/14/00
- People trade aviation safety cards. This I did not know.
- "It's a fact that those who know what to do in an emergency have a greater than average chance of surviving a survivable accident. So why not help yourself by reading on..." - Inflight safety
- Crash Course. Surviving a small-plane accident.
- "The goal is to find universal notions that help us understand something as chaotic and random as turbulence" - Soap film studied for clues to plane crashes
- Recent Plane Crashes and Angels: An Astrological and New Age Analysis
- Air Sickness Bag Virtual Museum
Thanks to Eamon, Jason, Davezilla, Greg and Dale for pointers to Airtoons, Plane Crash Penn and Fight Club Flight Card.
Yesterday? Remain calm?
