1. Alas, our gallery adventure is over before it really began. 404.

2. Ed responded to my list of favourite SF titles with the following:

"And I dug your Dead Pool melange, but how could you leave off Bullitt, Erich von Stroheim's Greed, the cheesy remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers or Star Trek IV from your San Francisco movies list?

The
Bullitt chase sequence alone, in which Steve McQueen's car loses five hubcaps and gets from McLaren Park to the Marina in seemingly 15 seconds, is amazing in that, despite these snafus, it's still tres kickass. Steve McQueen walked all over Clint's ass in 1970s San Francisco. Funny how both were accompanied by a groovy Lalo Schifrin score.

40 Days and 40 Nights for unintentional laughs. Thrill to a dot com world in which a web designer is told by Griffin Dunne not to revamp the site, but "the whole page" and where the dot com in question has been fashioned much like Empire Records, in which 20 or so employees hang about and do nothing except shoot spitwads at each other. Employees seemingly arrive at 9:30 AM and split from work at 11 AM. Everyone seems to live in apartments that are three times the size of your average San Francisco one. Nary a gay individual (or, for that matter, anyone who isn't Caucasian) is to be found. And in one case Josh Harnett, the new Keanu, gets from SOMA to the Stockton Tunnel in 20 seconds on foot! One of the silliest movies I saw this year. Even by 1998-1999 standards, it truly exists in a Bizarro universe."

The Netflix queue will be duly updated. Thanks Ed!
