Minnows. Driving to and from Berkeley on a Saturday around midday typically means enduring a certain amount of traffic. For once I was thankful as we became entranced by Act V on This American Life. While I'm a fan of TAL, I'm not a big fan, as Ira Glass' pacing and oh-so-earnest tone can drive me a little bananas. That aside, if you've an hour to spare, I highly recommend Act V. It's remarkable.
"Since 1999, a group of inmates at a high-security prison outside St. Louis have been performing Shakespeare's Hamlet for fellow inmates and outside visitors. Hamlet may seem an odd match for a group of hardened criminals, but they understand him on a level most of us might not."
