This poster adorned my bedroom wall for many years
Don't you just hate it when a plan doesn't come together? I wanted to illustrate this bit of blah blah with
one of two old family photographs. Both were taken in Montreal at Expo '67. So, you'll have to picture Claire
and I all impossibly cute and blonde doing impossibly cute and blonde things.
Why Expo '67. Well, Claire sent me a wonderful postcard from a new "virtual experience" created by the
National Archives of Canada celebrating the wonder that was Expo '67.
Some of my earliest memories (I was four, do the math) are of the Pitoune ("a sort of boat
that resembled a tree trunk with seats and offered an aquatic roller-coaster ride")
at La Ronde getting soaked and
terrified out of my wits.
Present at the Creation: American Gothic.
John sends words of Other Peoples Stories.
A sneak peak of Various Small Things created for the 20 Things Benefit Auction.
