harrrrrrumph! still crazy

Ocean Beach, SnapDragon 4x5 Pinhole

Thanks to some very generous friends, I have three new cameras. Steve Hawley has sent me one of his wonderful hand made pinhole cameras complete with a roll of electrical tape. I'm gathering courage to shoot a roll.

On Friday, Leslie, knowing that I wanted to participate in Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, presented me with an early birthday present of two cameras. One, a modified Holga, is a welcome addition to my growing collection. The other, a SnapDragon 4x5 Pinhole camera with Polaroid back has left me giddy with joy. It's a things of beauty though it will require some work to get the various exposure times down.

Above: Derek with Michael, Jake and Caroline. Michael and Caroline are two professional photographers who spied Derek and I testing the camera and offered some valuable advice. I invited them to participate in my last effort of the day.

Michael Barrish curates the Mirror Project with "Me and My Camera" and has a few thoughts on the experience.
